Which hardware devices should I use to emulate consumer devices?

Hi everyone,

I am working on research involving the impact that IoT devices can have on a WiFi network. I am particularly interested in how popular consumer devices (ex: Google Nest Hub Max, Amazon Echo, Phillips Hue, WeMo Plug, etc) affect WiFi networks in the 2.4Ghz band. I'm having difficulties finding what chipsets/microprocessor/microcontrollers that any of these devices use. I was wondering if anybody has any insight on what hardware that popular consumer devices use? Any comments are appreciated.
